I can't say run out and buy one, your an adult make your own damn descions. However it sounds as though as a child everyones mother did all the cleaning and they never learned how to clean anything. I truly appreciate the fact that everyone "loves a full flavored, hot cup of coffee". I like my machine and will buy another one.it as with anything has flaws, but with all the pros and few cons I like this machine. I have had this machine for quite sometime and after days of reading reviews and checking on other coffee machines I have decided to go w/ another of the same. I have been reading the reviews of the unfortunate for this machine and have never heard so many babies in my life. Everyone has to clean once and a while.You can't just pour water into the machine and say presto, put a little work into it and stop all the whining already you all sound like children.
Is it a little noisey, yes but remember your grinding coffee and not smashing grapes like Lucy did ( I LOVE LUCY ). This is better than my first one( it was old and worn out ). Great purchase, buy one.
Once a month I take my kitchen hand sprayer with very hot water, hold the coffee maker upside down at an angle in the sink and gently spray all over inside the machine working the spring loaded mechanism that holds the grounds. I rinse the guts of the machine and put them in the dishwasher, no problem. In my opinion this is the finest grind and brew I have ever owned. I have had this product for several years and have never been dissatisfied. People complain that it is hard to clean, I disagree. After all these years I am ordering another and keeping the first one for parts.
However, it is a huge pain to clean. I got this coffee maker about a year and a half ago and I really liked it at first. Now, almost everything on it is broken.*The button that releases the basket doesn't work, so I have to pull it open*The plastic part on top of the grinder broke*The grinder will no longer come out of the coffee maker, so I have to dig the grounds out by handAnd of course it only has a one year warranty.
GO FOR IT. You won't be disappointed.It's so consistent from use to use as well. The thing just works GREAT. Yes, great taste, that we couldn't get out of our past Mr. There has never been an issue with cleaning the coffee filter area as others seem to have had a problem with. While there are people at my office that look at it and look like confused Scooby Doo's, these are the same as the 1 or 2 star people.They just give up if they have to do anything out of the ordinary in life.
So, don't be afraid to buy this great Cuisinart Coffee Maker. Coffee's. After cleaning it a couple times, it takes 2 minutes max to get the job done and ready for the next cup of coffee. We're using it in a work environment. Yes, you have to clean it and there are a few hidden spots that you have to find at first. The Cuisinart Grind and Brew.Contrary, to the lame reviews that the 1 and 2 star people have given to this coffee maker, I have found this maker to brew the best and Hottest cup of coffee I have ever had out of a home coffee maker.
BIG friggin deal. This means that it's used at least 3 or 4 times a day.
